DOCseries
as a network of branches, signposts for conceptual processes.
Questioning how continuous development could manifest itself in the continuum of an artistic process resulted in DOCseries - artistic platform for interdisciplinary practice led research -
Along the way new things appear and we make those part of the work in both form and content. The work transforms with new resources that brings for us a fresh vibrancy to this sort of networked system of branches - signposts for the different conceptual processes - Working through Doc Series in phases thus becomes for us a way of looking at the future: a form of uncontrollable control.
It never really exists...
Multi-year collaboration with DansBrabant and network of partners in various disciplines.
‘We are fascinated to go through the everyday life and it's inevitable banalities and social expectations.
The distinction between the fictional world and real life is becoming increasingly diffuse. Delving into deeply rooted role models and archetypes, the merging of irreconcilable identities and the physical extensions we use for them. relationships between people, the variables of what is perfectly normal, the (non-)logic of our actions, and the imprint that the outside world leaves behind in our bodies’.
Each project starts a new dialogic process with dancers/performers without necessarily immediately leading to a performance or permanent collaboration. A place for short-term exchanges and new, different types of collaborations within the broad field of performance arts. These projects can be customized in presentation to fit the needs of performance space.
